THTHE FOLLOWING IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF 2013 JYFC CHEERLEADERS.

All Participants Must Hand in: (Prior to the first practice)
  • a copy of their birth certificate (along with the original which will be verified and returned)
  • 7 year-olds and up must hand in 2 copies of their Final Report Card from 2012-2013
  • a current, wallet-sized picture from the shoulders up (a new one is needed every season)
  • a completed AYF/AYC Physical Form dated after January 1, 2013. Must be signed and stamped by the doctor. Cannot be a faxed copy. Not valid of not signed and stamped and must be the original.
  • a signed and dated, emergency contact form and participant contract.
  • a signed signature page of the Rule and Regulations
  • No one can participate in practice without the proper paperwork – NO EXCEPTIONS

Apparel Fittings and Parents Meetings will be held on Monday, June 3rd for all teams Division 10 and up, and Tuesday, June 4th for Flag and Division 8. Team assignments are expected to be mailed out around the third week of May.
Required game apparel and optional practice apparel will be ordered and sold at the parent’s meetings.

Apparel Required for all Cheerleaders:

All Non-competitive Level Cheerleaders (Flag and non-competitive Division 8)
  • Game Sneakers
  • Practice T-shirt and Shorts
  • Game Socks
  • Pom Pons
  • Black Body Suit
  • Game Bow
  • Black Briefs
  • Cheerleading Bag (optional)

All Competitive Level Cheerleaders*
  • Competition Sneakers
  • Warm-up Jacket
  • Competition Socks
  • Black Warm-up Pants
  • Black Game Briefs
  • Cheerleading Bag (optional)
  • Red Competition Briefs
  • Pom Pons
  • Black Body Suit
  • Game Bow
  • Black razor-back sports bra
  • Competition Bow
  • Competition T-Shirt
  • Practice T-Shirt and Shorts

*Competitive cheerleaders may also be required to pay fees for choreography and mandatory stunt clinics. We will be holding a candy bar fundraiser in June to offset the cost of choreography and clinics.

The Regular Season will begin no earlier than July 22, 2013. You will be notified by your child’s coach exactly which day practice will start and what your practice schedule will be. Please see our Rule and Regulations, Participant’s Code of Conduct and Parent’s Code of Conduct for more information.

Proper Practice Attire:
All Cheerleaders must be in proper practice attire to participate.
Red, Black, White or Grey cotton t-shirt (all shirts must have sleeves)
Red, Black, White or Grey cloth shorts (no jean shorts or really short shorts)
Socks and cheer appropriate sneakers that tie (no Velcro sneakers)
Hair must be pulled up in a high ponytail and all bangs must be clipped back in a flat clip
JYFC will have optional practice apparel available for purchase during the June apparel fittings.

***ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY OF ANY KIND MAY BE WORN DURING PRACTICES OR GAMES!***
**Please do not get anything pierced immediately prior to or during the season as it will have to come out before your child can participate. No refunds will be given for jewelry.
-Jewelry includes but is not limited to: earrings of all kinds (tape over earrings is not allowed), necklaces, bracelets, anklets, belly button rings, nose rings, beads in hair, etc.
-Glitter is also not allowed to be worn during practices, games or competition.
